scouting question

When scouting, how much information do you get? Like, do you get their troops, resource levels, outputs/building levels, etc?
I've sent 10 scouts and gotten troops and resource levels but if you send more do you learn more?

You can only see their troop numbers and resources amounts. That's all you can see. You can't see their hero, wall levels and defensive devices. You don't even see their troops in the bunkers, plundering or on a faction quest.
Also, scouts kill scouts. All your scouts can die if the other city have more scouts or scouts with better armor/weapon then yours. You will not see any report. If your scouts win and one or more came back then you can see the report.
Also, if any scouts died in a battle the defending city will know who is scouting him/her from the battle report.
